About Dr. Tibet Erdoğru Dr. Tibet Erdoğru is a widely known specialist in kidney stone treatment and urology, with decades of clinical and academic experience. He began his medical career in General Surgery at Istanbul University, Istanbul Faculty of Medicine, and further strengthened his expertise by training under Prof. Dr. Stephen Dretler at the Harvard Medical School Kidney Stone Diseases Center in 1999–2000. He performs complex endourological surgeries including RIRS and PNL, and has made major contributions to the management of renal stones. In 2004, Dr. Erdoğru enhanced his laparoscopic surgical skills at the Heilbronn Teaching Hospital of the University of Heidelberg with Prof. Dr. J. Jens Rassweiler, one of the leading surgeons in laparoscopic urology. His expertise since then includes advanced laparoscopic and robotic surgery for renal, bladder, and prostate cancers. In 2015, he hosted the international convention “Challenges in Laparoscopy & Robotics 2015” in Istanbul. He is also the only Turkish urologist serving on the scientific committee of one of the world’s most prestigious laparoscopic and robotic surgery organizations. He completed his mandatory primary care service at Mardin 2nd Health Center (1989–1990) and completed his residency at Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine (1990–1995). He served at the German Hospital of Istanbul (1995–1998) and later worked as a faculty member at Akdeniz University Faculty of Medicine. Between 2011 and 2016, he was part of the Memorial Healthcare Group, Istanbul Atasehir Hospital. Since 2017, he has been the leading clinician at ÜroKlinik Istanbul, a specialized center for advanced urological treatment. Dr. Erdoğru is a member of several key national and international societies, including the Endourology Association, Turkish Urology Association, Turkish Andrology Society, and the European Urology Association.
