

Dr. Cevdet Gokcek
Dr. Cevdet Gokcek, born in 1964 in Kars, Turkey, is a senior neurosurgeon with a distinguished career spanning more than three decades. He completed his primary and secondary education in Ankara and pursued his medical degree at the University of Ankara between 1982 and 1988. Upon graduation, he began his neurosurgery residency at the Ministry of Health Ankara Hospital, where he continued to serve as a neurosurgery specialist from 1994 onward.
In 1995, Dr. Cevdet Gokcek broadened his expertise through advanced microsurgery training at Hacettepe University Neurological Sciences Division. In 1998, he completed observer training at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, contributing to his international academic exposure. He later deepened his technical skills by attending neuroendoscopy and skull-base endoscopy courses at the University of Ghent in Belgium in 2012.
From 1994 to 2015, he played a significant role in training neurosurgery residents at Ankara Training and Research Hospital, where he served until his retirement from public service. Following this period, he continued his clinical practice at Medistate Kavacık Hospital in Istanbul and later at Al-Kafeel Super Speciality Hospital in Karbala, Iraq. Dr. Gokcek is currently based in Istanbul, Turkey, continuing his work as a neurosurgery specialist. Since 2020, he has served as an Adjunct Professor at the Faculty of Medicine, Medipol Istanbul University.
