Prof. Yıldıray Yüzer, M.D., completed his residency in General Surgery at the Faculty of Medicine, Ege University, in 1984. Following his compulsory service at İzmir Menemen State Hospital between 1986 and 1988, he returned to academia and served as Chief Assistant in the Department of General Surgery at Ege University Faculty of Medicine from 1988 to 1993.

In 1993, Prof. Yüzer further enhanced his clinical and research expertise through advanced studies at the prestigious Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in the United States, focusing on complex oncologic and hepatobiliary surgery.

He joined the Group Florence Nightingale in 2004 and has since become one of the leading figures in liver transplantation both nationally and internationally. Over the course of his career, he has participated in more than 4500 liver transplantation procedures, a substantial proportion of which involved healthy living donors. He is widely recognized for his innovative surgical techniques in donor organ retrieval and has a particular clinical and academic interest in pediatric liver transplantation.

Since 2004, Prof. Yüzer has served as the Director of the Liver Transplantation Center at Florence Nightingale Hospital, where he has performed approximately 1500 liver transplants and continues to contribute to the advancement of surgical excellence and transplant outcomes.
