About Dr. Subrat Akhoury Dr. Subrat Akhoury is a highly accomplished Interventional Cardiologist with more than 20 years of clinical experience and over 10,000 independent interventional procedures to his credit. Recognized for his patient-centric approach and clinical precision, he consistently demonstrates excellence in the management of complex cardiac conditions. He specializes in renal and coronary angioplasty, arrhythmia management, and heart failure care. He has extensive expertise in advanced rhythm management and has performed numerous pacemaker implantation procedures, including ICD, PPI, and CRT devices. Dr. Akhoury is also proficient in a wide range of interventional cardiology procedures such as alcohol septal ablation, percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), patent foramen ovale (PFO) closure, balloon aortic valvuloplasty, and balloon mitral valvuloplasty. In addition, he has mastered key intravascular diagnostic modalities, including optical coherence tomography (OCT) and intravascular ultrasound (IVUS), enabling highly accurate assessment and personalized treatment planning. Dr. Akhoury completed his MBBS from Sri Krishna Medical College in 1993, followed by an MD in General Medicine from Gajara Raja Medical College in 2000. He pursued his DM in Cardiology at the LPS Institute of Cardiology, completing it in 2007.
